PERSONALS Mr. and Mrs. Charles Davenport and children of Wilson were Sun day night supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Sexton. Joining the Sextons and Davenports for the repast were the Rev. W. K. Quick and his brother, Harold Quick. , # Mrs. William Quick and children are visiting her parents in Blue field, West Virginia. They will join the Rev. Mr. Quick, who is holding revival services in Gibson Methodist Church this week. * Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hinton and children of Raleigh were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Hin ton. Mrs. A. S. Hinton reports that her brother-in-law, McRae Faison of Roanoke Rapids, is gradually growing worse. He is suffering from a heart condition. * Charles Scott Foshee of Rad ford, Va., is spending some time with his grandmother, Mrs. C. S. Foshee. He came Saturday with his mother, who has now returned home. * Mrs. Clarence Hinton has re turned home after a three week stay with her daughter and fam ily, Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Bowers of Wilmington. * Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Alford and daughter spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Talmadge Al ford and family and Mrs. M. S. Alford of Greensboro. Mrs. Massey Is Hostess to Club Arrangements of dogwood were used when Mrs. Frank Massey en tertained the Bridgettes Bridge Club and guests recently. Members present were Mrs. Steve Blackley, Mrs. Charles Haw kins, Mrs. George Morgan, Mrs. Thurman Murray, Mrs. Barrie Da vis and Mrs. Ed Hales. Guests were Mrs. Ruth Chamblee and Mrs. Philip Olive. At the conclusion of play the hostess awarded prizes to Mrs. Morgan, high; Mrs. Murray, low; and each guest received a gift. Refreshments were individual lemon chess pies, ham salad sandwiches, pickle and coffee. Nuts and Cokes were passed dur ing play. Kathy Quick Has 3rd Birthday Little Kathy Quick celebrated her third birthday April 13 at the Methodist Parsonage. Daughter of the Bill Quicks, the birthday was observed with a cake and ice cream and some of her friends in Sunday School were present as was her Sunday School teacher, Mrs. Eunice Wall. Among those present were her 5-year-old brother, Steve; Mark and Mary Davis, Carol, Carmel, and Tracy Turlington and Wanda Wall. Local Boy Gets AFR Commission Wilbur Boykin, a native of Zeb ulon, has recently received a di rect commission in the Air Force Reserve. Boykin, a senior at the Univer sity of North Carolina, will serve as a maintenance officer in his new position. A former Airman, he received his commission as First Lieutenant in the Outstanding Reserve Air man Appointment Program now in effect. He was one of 75 selected from throughout the United States. Birth Announcement Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Baker an nounce the birth of a son, Bruce Edward, on April 28 at Wendell Zebulon Hospital. Mrs. Baker is the former Estelle Blackley. MENU MONDAY: Frankfurters in finger roll, cheese sticks, slaw, but tered potatoes, apple sauce, milk. TUESDAY: Turkey with dressing and gravy, string beans, candied y^ms, celery sticks, cranberry sauce, bread, milk. WEDNESDAY: Spaghetti, potato sticks, congealed pineapple-car rot salad on lettuce, hot rolls, butter, milk. THURSDAY: Fish sticks, slaw, pork and beans, lemon chiffon pie, hushpuppies, butter, milk. FRIDAY: Vegetable beef soup, deviled egg sandwich, carrot sticks, ice cream, crackers, milk. ADMINISTRATRIX’S NOTICE Having qualified as Administra trix of the estate of R. B.
